#DiaperAid of Southern California is project by Clear Charity helping to Close The Diaper Gap serving clients all over the SoCal, making sure all babies have diapers they need!  The “Diaper Aid of Southern California” (previously OC #DiaperBank & #DiaperGap) program by Clear Charity was started in 5/20/16 to close the #DiaperGap for those in need in our general area. (We have clients from Oceanside, Burbank, San Bernardino & beyond!)  While we are not an official part of the National Diaper Bank yet but we provide a similar program to help make sure families in our local area have the diapers they need for their baby(s).

Too many American families are at a disadvantage when it comes to diapers, an essential item for babies, because they don’t have access to discount membership stores or cannot afford to stock up when they’re on sale.  Our #DiaperAid (Close The #DiaperGap) program will launch in phases to ensure stable supply and funding of the program.

Do you have have clith diapers or hypo allergenic diapers? Also, is an EBT card accepted or do I need something else.

Jay

We sometimes get cloth diapers as donation but it’s not something we always have, same with organic or hypoallergenic diapers. But we do accept EBT card!

I am curious as to what type of government assistance you accept to help with the wholesale program.
I don’t get WIC nor any TANAF/SNAP due to our family income being $20.00 more a month than the Threshold monthly allotment before taxes.
My oldest son has Special Needs and is still in diapers. I am trying to potty train him, but I still struggle with buying him diapers or pull ups every month.
My son is on SSI.

Jay

Hello Shanon, I’m sorry to hear that you missed qualification by such a small amount. If you’re asking if we are funded by any government assistance, we are not. That might make sense why WIC don’t offer programs we do and WIC refers people to us when parents ask about diapers. You are welcome to get diapers from us at any time at wholesale cost which should save you $20 a month in average.

Hello, should I print the application and bring it with me on Saturday? Does that guarantee that I can purchase diapers?

Jay

If you print out application, we can process you faster since you will need to fill it out first before we can help you. However there’s no guarantee on any of our programs as everything is served first come first serve basis. However, we do our best to have enough diapers to meet the demand and we rarely run out of diapers.

Hello, we are low income but live in the county of L.A. I see that you mention on the other comments that we can still purchase the whole sale prices which is great. Would we still be able to apply for the low income program as well? (free diapers)

Jay

Yes, as long as you come in during our #diaperhour, you can get subsidised diaper as long as you meet low income qualifications. We will not turn you away based on where you live.

Jay

Adriana, congratulations on your twin bundles of joy! 😀 Our program does not have access to preemie diapers. But we do have newborn size which might be able to fit them… I just checked the packaging and it says its for up to 10lbs infant. So if I live in L.A. I wouldn’t be able to receive diapers?

Jay

Hello Valerie, if you are visiting OC, you can come by during our #DiaperHour and we would help you. We will not turn you down just because you don’t reside in OC. However, I do believe there are a few diaper banks within LA area as well. You might want to look into them first. 🙂

To purchase diapers at the whole sale cost do I still need to be from the OC area ?

Hello Shaina, For wholesale cost purchase, we do not require any residential or income requirements. You can just come in during our diaper hours and get these premium diapers at wholesale! 😀
